This photograph sparks creative thinking. It allows you to look through the eyes of another. The mesh of blurry color also forces an individual to craft what the blur represents. Every person may have a different opinion of what the background is, or why the photographer shot it this way.
When I see this picture, I can't help but think of all the ways the photographer wanted people to interpret it. I see it as someone being shown a new perspective of things: being exposed to a clear, colorful way of things rather than just a blur. And being able to see this new light through the glasses is even more metaphoric. I agree that many questions arise upon seeing this picture: ie. why didn't the photographer take a picture of the glasses facing the other way so as to put the emphasis on the viewer looking through the glasses?
